Provided here is a review of my Lee’s Lost Dispatch and Other Civil War Controversies by Iain Standen from Lincolnshire, England.
Iain is CEO of the Bletchley Park Trust, which runs Bletchley Park, the historic site of secret British code breaking during WWII and birthplace of the modern computer. He is also a European battlefield tour guide.
A former Regular Army officer, he was educated at Christ’s Hospital School and King’s College, University of London, and trained at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where he had the privilege of being taught by John Keegan and other notables. His extensive military experience allows him to provide a soldier’s insight on his battlefield tours.
Although interested in a range of campaigns, the American Civil War remains his favorite era. He is a member of the American Civil War Roundtable (United Kingdom) and lectures on American Civil War subjects.
